As the New Year approaches, we’re excited to share another event we were honored to take part in.
At the invitation of the NGO “Agency for Renewal and Development” and EED, we, leaders of Ukraine’s civil society organizations, gathered to define the role of public participation in the processes of restoring democracy in Ukraine. This was not just a meeting—it was a step toward consolidating efforts, finding solutions, and shaping a shared vision for the future.

We discussed freedom of speech, collaboration between civil society organizations and the state, businesses, the military, and local communities. Together, we explored new ways to cooperate effectively, developed ideas to amplify the voice of civil society, and examined its influence on shaping Ukraine’s future.

Among colleagues with years of experience implementing socially impactful projects, we analyzed the restoration of democracy from multiple perspectives—from economic freedoms and human capital to the role of international partnerships. We shared experiences, addressed challenges, and, most importantly, worked together to find solutions.

The project “The Voice of Civil Society in Shaping and Implementing Ukraine’s Recovery Plan” proves that civil society is the cornerstone of sustainable development, inclusive institutions, and quality governance.

It was a day when the voice of civil society resonated loudly and confidently. Such meetings are crucial because building democracy is a multifaceted challenge, and achieving the best results is only possible through united efforts.

Democracy in Ukraine is being restored with our involvement. Every idea, every action, and every partnership is a step toward a stronger, freer, and more independent state. No matter how difficult things may be right now, let us remember why we do what we do.
