During the fall, the team of the NGO “Velika ideia” participated in the organization of two large charity events in support of the population affected by the war in Ukraine: the “BlagoFest” festival and the “Marlog-mobile” – a food collection event near the “Salyut” store.
Today we want to say thank you and report back so you can be sure that all the help has reached its destination.
The city festival took place on October 9 in the central square of the city of Kovel. Festival guests had the opportunity to donate funds to support the Armed Forces and people affected by the war. It was possible to buy sweets and souvenirs, take part in trophies from Izyum, collect/disassemble weapons from the NGO “TsNPV “Volynska sich”, receive training on first aid in case of injury from the NGO “Ukrainian Association for the Protection of Health” Marlog-Kaducei “, buy hot coffee from volunteer Vasyl Giryn and cotton candy from “Classic”.
We managed to collect 92,377 hryvnias.
With these funds, we purchased:
📍14 winter sleeping bags in the amount of UAH 32,890, which were delivered to the front line of the 77th battalion;
📍155 packages of anti-influenza drugs in the amount of 15,987 hryvnias;
📍50 tourniquets for stopping bleeding in the amount of 28,500 UAH, delivered to the front line for 14 OMBr, NGU;
📍 10,000 UAH was given for car repair to our military 14 OMBR,
📍 5000 UAH is 15 grocery sets delivered to residents of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region
🚙 “Marlog-mobile” is a campaign to support people in the de-occupied territories.
The collection of products took place near the “Salyut” store.
Thanks to the residents and guests of Kovel, we managed to collect:
📌 more than 3000 kg of products;
📌 110 kg of hygiene;
📌 41 kg of clothes.
A total of 200 food kits were created for families from the de-occupied part. Kherson region. Another part of the products was sent to the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv region and Mykolaiv region. We covered Chornobayivka, Kherson, Snigurivka, Pechenigiv, Shevchenkivka, Kup’yansk, Velikiy Burlug.
We thank everyone who participated in the collection of aid: we thank the volunteers, our information partners (Kovel media, Kovel vintage, Kovel city), everyone who reposted information on their pages), we thank our network partners, including the “K12” charitable foundation, who delivered aid to its destination. Thanks to Mr. Peter (Switzerland) for the substantial donation.
