The project was organized and carried out by representatives of local businesses and educational institutions in Kovel, together with the Community Club of Kyiv and the Kovel City Council. The main goal of the event was to show children the possibilities of the adult world through career guidance so that everyone could choose a profession they are passionate about and realize their own potential.
The children tried themselves in professions such as lumberjack, farmer, salesperson, pharmacist, police officer, rescuer, Eastern dancer, and musician. They painted pictures, tried on a judge’s robe, tried their hand at medical practice, did hairstyles and makeup for their mothers, took fingerprints, made molds, and even, for the first time in the project’s history, had the opportunity to place improvised fillings using a real dental drill. And that’s just a small fraction of what they could engage in during the event. In total, nearly 70 different professions were represented!
For their work, the children received their first salary in “UAH”. And although these money was only valid in area of the “City of Professions,” they could make real purchases with them. The young workers enjoyed ice cream, sweets, and made useful purchases for school.
Over 3000 children participated in the event.
