The purpose of the project is to scale up work in the direction of providing humanitarian aid to needy Ukrainians, to improve the quality of such services, to promote the institutional development of the organization of the volunteer movement in Ukraine.
As part of the project:
– An analysis of the activity of the Public Organization “Big Idea” for the last 7 months was carried out;
– The work of the organization has been scaled through the networking of 9 partner CSOs in the front-line zones and cooperation with them in the direction of providing the target audience* with humanitarian goods according to the system.
The Big Idea NGO pages were created on the fundraising/crowdfunding platforms DonorBox and Patreon. The Linktree page for the Big Idea NGO has been set up, the non-profit status of the organization has been confirmed, which will make it possible to attract investments for the organization’s activities. In the process of setting up, under the coordination of the fundraising manager, the opening of payment systems for the legal organization of the NGO Big Idea Payoneer, Stripe and Liqpay, as well as the connection of MonoBank accounts for the legal entity.
A total of 12 individual online meetings were held with new potential investors and philanthropists from the USA, Brazil, France, Germany, and Israel. We expect that in the next two months these benefactors will provide financial support and/or in-kind assistance for the implementation of the organization’s humanitarian mission in Ukraine, in particular food kits and medical preparations for people affected by the war in Ukraine with an emphasis on the de-occupied territories.
One of the most striking examples of cooperation with new partners is the beginning of cooperation with the city hall of Chamblee, Georgia, USA and obtaining the official status of a sister city with Kovel. This happened thanks to the cooperation of “MARLOG” volunteers – 17-year-old Pavlo Okseniuk (Kovel) and 27-year-old Rafael Crepaldi (Brazil).
Negotiations are underway with private enterprises in the city of Kovel regarding cooperation in the implementation of the humanitarian mission
